Question:
I and my wife are going to Iran in 3 weeks. As the country is large and time limited I am trying to book 2 domestic flights in Iran. I called the Iran Air office in Iran, no luck. I emailed an Iranian travel agent, but the price they offered was 300 USD. I also tried my luck with a travel agent in Poland, where I live and the price was still around 250 USD. And then I found Uppersia Travel which seems to offer prices very close to those listed by Iran Air. I am also considering train as very interesting alternative to buses. Is it necessary to book in advance (I plan to travel on Sunday) or is it enough to buy it on the same day? And when I do the planning should I look at the timetable in pdf on www.raja.ir? Or rather on the ticket availability section on their section?
Answer:
It is better to book your train and flight tickets in advance since those are usually fully booked far in advance. Raja website is not updated most of the time so the information there is not reliable. It is better to ask the Iranian agencies about the schedule and reservation.
