Question:
I just got the opportunity to travel with a group to Iran for 10-15 days. I have the choice of one of 4 itineraries and not sure which would be the best. (I love nature, interesting and unusual sites and anything authentic.) I've included the 4 below and if you could suggest which offers the most interesting options, I'd appreciate it:
1. Tehran, Saad Abad Palace, Persepolis, Kerman, Rayan, Yazd, Iman Square, Isfahan
2. Tehran, Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan, Kashan,
3. Tehran, Ahwaz/Shiraz, Kerman, Bam, Yazd, Esfahan
4. Tehran, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Susa, Ahwaz, SHiraz, Perspeolis, Kerman, Bam, Yazd, Isfahan
Answer:
The second itinerary is the most preferred since in 10-day you will really see Iran, absorb the atmosphere and not rush through. On the other hand, visiting Ahvaz is not recommended during spring and summer since the weather will extremely be hot which spoils your time. Ahvaz has long, hot summers and mild, short winters. The maximum temperature in summer could soar up to 54 degrees Celsius while in winters the minimum temperature could fall around 2 degrees Celsius. To avoid extreme heat and coldness, it is better not to travel to Iran from July to August and from December to February based on all above itineraries.
