In Iran two ski resorts of Dizin and Poulad Kaf are open to offer services to the ski lovers.
Dizin ski complex is situated at Gajereh region on the north mountains of Tehran. Its climatological condition offers a long time for skiing, normally during 22 N0V-22 MAY. Ski facilities in Dizin included two hotels, 19 cottages and 5 restaurants, and the ski-lifts at Dizin includes three telecabins, two skilifts, seven dish teleskis and one Hammer teleski. The lowest point of the region is 2650 in, while its highest point is 3600m, above the sea level. The ski activity in Dizin is not limited to winter season, apart from that, there are also other facilities such as grass ski, tennis courts, mountain climbing, tracks for cyclists in mountainous region which all in all absorb champions and sport lovers for competition from all over the world. Dizin is open to the public on summer holidays, Thursdays & Fridays and every day in the winter.
Pooladkaf is a ski resort 2810 to 3231 meters from sea level located in the South of Iran, 90 km far from Shiraz, and 15 Km far from Sepidan. There is a gondola lift with a length of 2100 m and also surface lifts. Ski season in Pooladkaf usually commences from first of December to late March and sometimes this period extends to April. Due to considerable precipitation of this region which is about 1000 mm in 6 months, in some years 3 meters of snow accumulates at the bottom of resort. The motivating point about this resort is strong sunshine even in January and the cheapness of the services.
