Question: I'm visiting Iran from the UK in July 2023. I wanted to take some gifts for people I meet. Any suggestions about what I should take? Pens, pencils, notebooks, food?

Postcards from your home city or a specific food,chocolates or a box of candy, pens or notebooks, a piece of cloth make for a nice gift. But be sure there's no alcohol or pork in the food you bring. As a matter of fact, unless it's halal, it might be a bad idea all together.
Some suggestions though are, if you have a laptop, make sure you have children's movies or games, pictures of your family and friends.
