Question:
I'm planning to go to Iran later this year when the weather will be hot, and so I am planning to make a linen manteau before I go. My question: what happens at the neck under the bit that is always covered by a headscarf? Is it lapels, like a trench coat, a round neck, a shallow 'V'? Does anyone know?
Answer:
Dress code for females here is not really specific and defined. As a tourist woman in Iran you have to cover your hair. In order not to waste your time to make a suitable Mantuea, you can go shopping loose fitting garments which cover your arms and legs up to at least the knee area over pants or long skirts with a scarf. Sandals and flip flops without socks are acceptable for both genders and make no problem.
