I am an Indian American considering travelling to Iran with an American (United States of America) Passport. I'm perfectly fine with dressing modestly, not consuming any alcohol, and not discussing any politics while there. What are some other items to consider? Is it safe as an American for me to visit Iran at all?

After having the reference number, the visa can be collected in two working days by direct referral or in one working week by posting the docs to the Iran embassy.
